Following my career as a basketball player, I struggled, and still do many years later, to "de-identify" myself as a basketball player. Often overlooked are the challenges that elite athletes face when their competitive careers draw to a close. Although compared to many, my career was very short. I regret to this day that I stopped playing in my prime years. The exploration of identity, purpose, and the pursuit of a new path unfolds as we delved into my personal experience.
